AspireOS vs Halaxy: a free core with credits, or one price with texting included?

Halaxy's core is free, with SMS, claims and telehealth paid in credits; AspireOS is one price per practitioner with SMS included. Sourced and dated.

Halaxy's offer is unusual: the core platform is free, for unlimited practitioners. You pay for what you use, in credits. Here is how that compares with AspireOS's one price per practitioner, using Halaxy's own website and help centre, read on 25 October 2026.

How Halaxy charges

  • The core is free: calendar, online bookings, email reminders, clinical notes, invoicing and reports, with no card needed (Halaxy pricing).
  • Credits cost A$0.15 to A$0.22 each, including GST, depending on how many you buy at once (Halaxy help: credits).
  • An SMS is 1 credit for the first 160 characters. A successful claim is 1 credit (Medicare, DVA, HICAPS, NDIS and more). A video telehealth call is 2 credits per 15 minutes per patient.
  • Some features are monthly credits, from 25 a month: a dedicated SMS number or custom sender name is 50 credits a month.
  • Payment processing fees apply to card payments taken through Halaxy.

How AspireOS charges

AspireOS is A$45 + GST per practitioner a month (A$49.50 including GST), or A$40 + GST a month billed yearly. Admin roles are free. Two-way SMS on the practice's own number is included (fair use), and AspireOS takes no fee on card payments: patients pay through your own Stripe account.

So Halaxy will usually cost less to run, especially for a practice that texts little. AspireOS is the predictable bill: one figure per practitioner, whatever you text.

Where Halaxy does more today

  • Online claiming, at a credit per successful claim. AspireOS does not lodge claims online yet; Medicare and DVA claiming and HICAPS are waiting on partner approval.
  • Instant online booking and a public directory. AspireOS's booking page is a request the practice confirms.

Where AspireOS does more

  • Mobile and home-visit teams: travel from real road times across the day, free slots ranked by the extra drive, and travel billed by funder, including the NDIS drive home.
  • The team in the same app: credentials with renewal reminders, rostering, leave and timesheets.
  • Funded care in detail: NDIS, Support at Home, DVA, WorkCover and TAC invoices that pick the right payer, and funding episodes with a meter of what is left.

Prices checked 25 October 2026 on Halaxy's own website and help centre. Prices change, and Halaxy's website is the final word. Halaxy is a trade mark of its owner, named here only to compare; AspireOS is not affiliated with it.
